Yaay.. Finaly my little gorgeous turn 1 ^__^ on 31 August’13.
Here’s memory about her birthday🙂
First, let me share the first idea popped up in my mind to celebrate this birthday..
Did I succeed in realizing those things? Hmm….
Throwback to several days before the Day. One of my friend in The Urban Mama (TUM) August’12 Birth Club asked:
“Kopdaran akbar yuk tanggal 31 Agustus, sekalian syukuran n ngerayain bareng-bareng 1 tahunan para bayi Agustus”
Heii.. Birthday + Kopdar Akbar = What an idea!
How was it? Let me tell it through the ideas written below.
No party indeed.. Just a family meeting of The Urban Mama (TUM) August’12 Birth Club.. Big family meeting😀 with 13 families, and 13 babies + 2 toddlers!!
The “Kopdaran Akbar” meeting was held in Ika husband’s house.. for free.. Yaay.. thank you Oma Opa Ika and Elmir🙂
Every club’s member brought their own ‘signature’ dish or ‘famous culinary’ from their neighborhood. These are what included in the menu:
~ Nasi Bogana by Ika ~ Asinan Bogor by Putik ~ Kripik Tempe by Vini ~
~ Pangsit GM by Neena ~ Ayam Keju by Shela ~ Dimsum by Dian ~ Somay by Deasy ~
~ Bolu Keju Tape by Emma ~ Brownies by Citra ~ Es buah by Ika and Uthie ~
~ Baby Choice by Titis and Icha (of course we don’t forget the baby’s snack) ~
~ Cupcakes by me and husband (no, I didn’t make them if you ask :p)~
How about the entertainment?
Well, in the house, there were already so many toys to play with.. Colorful balls, car toy, cloth book, and many more..
These fun was added with bouncy castle and kids swimming pool brought by Emma and husband.. Though in the end, the babies just played in the swimming pool without water, because most of them still had cold..
At 12.00 (it was the exact time of Runni birth day on August 31, 2012) the babies and mommies blew up the candle. Just for fun. Runni was the 1st one to blow the candle because it was her birthday. Next, configured the cake (yes it was customizable) then blew the candle again, together, to celebrate our 1st August babies birthday.
Was it fun? Sure.. Babies and their laugh were everywhere.. Was it relaxing? No need to tell.. Meeting and chatting with “same baby age” Mommies and Daddies was a good refreshment🙂
Before we went home, we exchanged gift for each other. The rules were no gift worth more than Rp 50.000, wrapped in old news paper, and no one knows for who or from whose are the gifts.
As a wrap, Ika brought a photographer to capture all the smiles, the excitement, the babies, and the moments.
What a nice way to celebrate your little ones birthday..
Celebrate with orphan
Too bad I couldn’t realize this idea😦.. But there is one thing I thanked so much.. Several day before The Day, one of my friends in ITBmotherhood share about her idea (and already implemented) to accompany orphans which just graduated to get proper job. She needed funding (not to much) to do this idea. Well, one gift that Mamah and Ayah could give to Runni (insya Allah) was a saving in akherat someday. Eventhough we couldn’t meet directly with the orphans. Hopefully little funding (really little) can help them through and finding better job and future. (note: bismillah, it’s just sharing an idea, no purpose for riya’ or showing off).
I chose cupcakes instead of big cake because of this idea.. I wanted something different for little gorgeous and her friends in birth club. It was customizable. You could choose whether for Runni’s birthday or baby TUM birthday😀.
Usefull goodie bags for kids
The idea was to make a goodie bag consists of drawing book, customized cupcake, milk, and wrapped in paper or plastic with Runni’s birthday theme (it really was “Runni” as the theme😀 ).. In the end, the only thing in the goodie bag was chocolate chip cupcake with Runni’s avatar as a topping.. Why? Hmm.. After some calculation, to realize the ideal goodie bag, great amount of money will be involved. I though our family wasn’t yet in the level of spending that “amount” just for a baby birthday🙂
It’s a cake with butter, egg, and milk anyway. So it would be usefull for the body :p
I did have a great idea for the gift: A Trust Fund saved in Gold (even though just 1 gr of Gold) :D Well, after a discussion with my husband, maybe this kind of gift was ‘too much’ for our baby. First thing first, we have to introduce and teach her about money, its value, and how to manage it. Maybe someday, when she already understand and can be trusted hold her own money. Or maybe never, if this kind of gift just bring her a bad luck. We’ll see😉
That’s it! My Little Gorgeous Birthday
Happy 1st birthday my sweet girl, Dearossa Alexandrina KhaiRUNNIsa.
Be shalehah, shalehah, shalehah, healthy, smart, and be good for others.
Mamah and Ayah love You :*
